Well-known for its athletic fields, this park also features a playground and a walking path, making it a versatile spot for families and dog owners alike. The park stands out for its mix of sports facilities and areas for relaxation, such as a small pavilion near the playground that’s perfect for picnics or seeking shade. While there is limited shade around the fields and parking can be tough during busy events, families appreciate the improvements and ongoing enhancements to the grounds. The combination of open spaces, paved walking path, and covered shelter makes this a suitable location if you’re looking for pet-friendly trails or a place to stretch your legs with your dog.
Nice area okay fields fair warning on practices the dirt gets hard but in game days they usually soften the dirt/ rake it up
The complex itself is pretty nice. Plenty of fields for both older and younger kids. Cheap concession prices. Just wish the took the same time to care for the grounds during the pre-season as they do once games begin. Adding some additional parking would be a great help as well.
The baseball fields are great and our kids love the playground, and it’s nice that they have a small pavilion next to the playground. Shade is next to impossible to come by at many fields – they should plant trees along the baselines that will eventually provide a welcome reprieve for families. Parking can be a nightmare on busy game time/days. The parking lot is mostly gravel by the t-ball fields, and not even, with no lines to help direct parking. On busy opening Saturday we see people triple parked. They opened an overflow section, but it wasn’t exactly easy to walk or drive through.
I took my two girls to the playground to there, with the intention to walk the new path. To no one’s surprise, we stayed at the playground and didn’t walk the path. There’s a pavilion right next to the playground, and I can see us packing lunches to bring up to play a little longer. I’ve been going to that sports complex for the past 25 years, and the improvements are phenomenal. We’ll definitely be going back.
Baseball fields are rough around the edges. The larger park is pretty nice and has a little walking path and playground. But for team sports it’s not the best. The bathrooms were not in great condition. It feels worn down and needs some upkeep .
