Waggin’ Tails Bark Park stands out as one of the best dog parks in North Platte, Nebraska. This expansive, pet-friendly destination is perfect for both locals and travelers passing through on I-80. Set amidst large shade trees and bordering a scenic river, the park offers plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and explore off-leash. The area features a mix of grassy fields, bushes, and even agility obstacles, making it a fun spot for active dogs and their owners.
The park is designed with everyone in mind—there are separate areas for small and large dogs, wheelchair accessible parking, benches for relaxing, and picnic tables for a comfortable visit. Kids will enjoy the playground close by, and the easy access to nearby walking trails makes it a great spot for pet-friendly hiking in North Platte. Water is available for dogs, and there’s plenty of shade to keep everyone cool during a visit. Whether you’re a local or just stopping through, Waggin’ Tails Bark Park is a must-stop for dog lovers.
This place is huge, playground for kids, running room for dogs, you can fish, or just enjoy the scenery. Gorgeous big trees and plenty of shade
Nice dog park. Small dog area with grass and water. Huuuuuuge big dog area with benches, obstacles, etc. Lots of bushes and trees and what not. My dogs loved exploring. Worth the few mins out of the way if you are traveling on the highway for sure.
This is a favorite stop for myself and the pups while roadtriping across the country via I-80. Plenty of room, convenient access from the highway, and plenty of nearby places to eat and gas up add to the attractiveness of stopping here. Might be more difficult for RVs, but not impossible.
Fantastic place. I’m not one for dog parks. My dogs are trained with recall and so forth to go with me without leashes and fences etc HOWEVER…. this is a great place. It’s REALLY good size and is well kept. Right off of a walking trail and nestled near the river. My dogs enjoyed themselves here. People are the problem with dog parks no regard for others but usually they aren’t real busy.
Best and coolest dog park ever!
I love how large it is!! Our dogs got the best break from our road trip to Florida! They ran back and forth so many times, ran through the plastic tubes, chased squirrels, climbed the ramps, ran through the bushes. So much fun! 🥰😎
