Visiting from out of state but grew up here. Always have to come to the best city Metroparks in the entire USA! Love my river!!
I love taking my kids here to play inside or hit the trails outside. Very easy trails, I love that those steps have a piece off to the side so if needed you can stop while going up. My kids beg me to take them weekly
A gorgeous reservation trail that’s always pristine and well maintained, and sure to bring you calm and help soothe your soul. If you’re up for a chill quiet walk alone, or with a group of friends or family, this is one of the best trails I’ve been on that really truly has a lot to offer. Is dog friendly too!
Lots of little detours, with some bonfire and hangout areas strewn across the trails, and endless lookouts and picture opportunities as you move along your walk. Love the well maintained boardwalksand bridges, the stairs and high points that allow you to get a better footing if you just want to enjoy the outdoors and waterways. If you’re up for a more authentic adventure then there are so many other paths that will satisfy.
Be sure to check out the Center while you’re there for some snacks or a trinket to remember your visit. Their indoor exhibits are pretty cool too. Would recommend.
Loved the mix of forest trails, river views, and spotting deer along the way. Perfect for a chill hike or bike ride 🚴♂️. Don’t skip the Nature Center—it’s small but cool! Great spot to recharge and breathe in some fresh air 🌬️🍃.
One of my favorites! So much to hike! Beautiful scenery.
