I live very close to McMahon Park. My daughter loves this par, and is always begging to go there. I think it’s one of, If not THE best parks In Middletown. Not only does it have a playground & jungle gym with awesome slides and tubes, and little obstacles course thingys, it always has swingsets. A regular swingset, and then baby swings, and then even has like in-between swings that are for kids who aren’t quite big enough for regular swings but too big for baby swings. The absolute coolest merry go round on earth is in this park. It’s got tons of cool stuff that I’ve never seen in any other park like ever.
There’s also basketball courts, 3 baseball fields, there’s water fountains, and public bathrooms that are open pre/rry late. There’s big open grassy fields and little trail to walk on. So much to do there. I love it it’s my favorite park and I can walk there in 3 mins from my house.
It used to be a good family field to take your children to, but not so much anymore. Vandalism and spray paint everywhere, as well as people using the bike paths and baseball fields as drug dens….i hope the police can get a hold of it.
Love this park. It’s clean and well groomed. Also has a well pump we like to fill up water guns or balloons with! Only downside is I wish they would replace the playground for bigger kids that they took down a few years ago. My kids like to play baseball so that’s mostly what we do. My youngest still very much enjoys the swings. Sometimes we hang out in the tennis court but dont play tennis. We make up our own games : )
