Monkton Community Dog Park is a welcoming and friendly dog park located on Pond Rd in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Known for its spacious, grassy environment, this park offers both large and small dog areas that are fully fenced, allowing your furry companions to safely run and socialize. The community atmosphere, scenic setting, and clean open space make it a favorite destination for local dog owners looking for a dog-friendly gathering spot.
The park features double-gated entry for added safety when leashing or unleashing your dog, as well as shaded benches and a gazebo on the large dog side for comfort during your visit. Waste bags and trash bins are provided to help keep the park clean, and the park is wheelchair accessible with accessible parking options. While you’ll want to bring your own toys and water for your pup, you’ll appreciate the ample running space—just be prepared for muddy conditions after rain or snow melt!
Great dog park for people and pups. Separate area for smaller dogs and shaded benches elevate this park beyond just fenced in grass.
This is a nicely grassed park. It’s rather basic (just a fenced grassy area) but the large dog side has a gazebo for shade.
There is a small-dog side, trash, and bags. I didn’t see any water option.
The park itself was great there is an entrance where you can unleash or leash your dog before entering one of 2 fenced in dog parks.. Someone showed up with their dog not leashed while we were trying to leave . Not very thought full to others. You should not act like a dog park is your own backyard and only your dog matters!
I take my dog to this dog park nearly every weekday morning and have been doing so for the entire time the park has been open weather permitting. My dog and I have made so many great friends, animal and people there! Friendly folks and well mannered dogs of all ages and sizes. A beautiful environment and a huge asset to our community!
We love this dog park! My big dog has made big and small dog friends. Everyone that frequents it is super friendly and a good, responsible dog parent. Lots of space to run, but it turns into an absolute mud bog in the rain or when snow melts so be ready to give your dog a bath when you get home! The toys have almost all been run over by the lawn mower unfortunately, so they’re pretty beat up. Expect to bring your own or not use toys pretty much at all
