🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Ruff Run Dog Park is a private, membership-based dog park located at 2825 Easton St NE in North Canton, Ohio. Known for its spacious layout and well-cared-for property, this dog park offers a safe and controlled environment for dogs to play and socialize. The park features separate areas for small and large dogs, including opportunities for your pup to explore wooded sections, making it ideal for those seeking dog-friendly trails and open spaces.
Access to Ruff Run Dog Park requires membership, which helps ensure that all dogs playing here are vaccinated and that pet owners follow the park’s clear rules for safety and cleanliness. Its private nature means you’ll enjoy a less crowded, respectful environment where most visitors pick up after their dogs. While there are rules and a fee to join, many local dog owners find the well-maintained grounds and community worth it, especially if you value peace of mind and a friendly, pet-focused atmosphere.
Would give a 0 star if I could.
Drove there with my bery wel behaved puppy who is up to date on shots and spayed. Someone approached us at the gate and informed us it was a membership park and explained the criteria which out pooch meets she got anotyband said she needed proof ok understandable..but she also said she get me an application and “we’ll see” how it goes.
No thanks lady it’s clear we didn’t meet your uppi ty standards which by the
way you were no bowl of roses and your park looks plain and boring there is a beautiful free park very close by that doesn’t discriminate and mybdog had a great time.
You have to pay to get in. The prices are decent but one of the member’s was rude. She got upset because my dog barked when she saw the other dogs. She was excited and wanted to play and the lady took my dog barking as annoying. I’m not going to get a membership with someone that gets annoyed over a dog getting excited to play. Sorry Karen, if you can’t handle a dog barking then maybe you shouldn’t have one. They’re dogs, it’s what they do. Not worth wasting money with rude members.
You must be a member for this park but the fees are worth it, the property is huge and well cared for with separate sections, including wooded areas, for small and large pups to run freely. Everyone cleans up after themselves and their dogs. Yes, there are a few rules in place at this park but they are there for everyone’s protection and convenience.
My dogs loved coming to the park. Unfortunately we had to move before our membership was up. I called Tammy North and let her know. She said she would send a check with the refund amount which she never sent. When I called back to inquire about the refund she said she wouldn’t refund the money because it wasn’t worth her time. Ruff Run is a beautiful park, but the owners are not professional business people.
Nice roomy uncrowded dog park in which you won’t have to worry about unvaccinated dogs or owners that don’t watch their pups. Everyone picks up after their dogs and respects one another. It’s private and yes you pay for it but I feel well it’s worth it.
