🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
North Adams Dog Park is a convenient spot for dog owners in North Adams, MA looking for a place to let their pets socialize and play off-leash. The park features fenced areas with double-gated entries and dedicated sections for small and large dogs, making it safer and easier for all kinds of dogs to mingle. Although the dog park space is described as compact compared to others nearby, it offers both dog-friendly and kid-friendly access, so the whole family can visit.
Dog owners will find waste collection bags and trash bins to help keep the park clean, though water fountains or bowls are not directly available on-site—there is a water hose down the other side of the park for refills. Seating and shelter options are limited, and reviewers note that shade can be minimal. This dog park is a pet-friendly option for locals who need a quick and easy spot for canine playtime, with the added benefit of usually being uncrowded, even on weekends.
Lamest dog park I’ve ever been to.
So tiny.
No bowl or poop bags….
No water or bowls for the doggos. No poop bags for clean up. Tiny strip of grass. Really no room for the doggos to run. Come on, North Adams! Could you expand your fence just a little towards the huge grassy field you have right next to it?
There are two areas nominally for small and large dogs. Both are double-gated. They also could be used for strange dogs to meet through the fence. If your dog needs to be socialized, it’s possible to walk parallel in a large area adjacent and external to the dog park. Waste collection bags are provided. It’s usually not crowded.
Best place for my dog Phoenix he’s met so many people and dogs, and he’s really friendly, and the water hose is down on the other side of the park so he can have water bowl refills and he gets tired from all the playing
Given the large size of other parks out that way, this park was a disappointment. It is very small, and it looks like the town just dropped a little fencing around the corner of an existing park, with a walking path that goes through the park sections and one of the light ones poles in the center of the park space.
No water, although there were bags and trash. Separate sections for large and small dogs, I guess – but no rules were posted anywhere visible.
