The Schuylkill River trail is a wonderful trail made for all types of transportation. Many different variety of animals, such as geese and turtles. It’s 6 miles in all, but there’s no need to finish the whole trail. Overall, disregarding heat, this place is a gorgeous trail in the Valley Forge area.
Date of first visit: Wednesday October 18, 2023. There was plenty of parking on the beautiful weekday this morning. I really enjoy this trail very much and I wish I could live closer. I’d be here every day if I did. There was plenty of room to set up my bike. After my ride I enjoyed my lunch on one of the picnic tables. I’ll be back in the spring.
Great trail, Started from Betzwood Park, it’s nice and paved and flat to go to Philly. Word of warning stay with the daylight. Norristown and other areas are kind of sketchy after dusk.
Valley Forge NH-Betzwood Picnic Area Parking sign says there is parking for 80 cars. There is also parking for vehicles with boat trailers with access to the Schuylkill River. Restrooms are located in this area.
