Cambridge Crescent Dog Park in Norfolk, VA, offers a unique dog-friendly space nestled in a charming neighborhood near the Lafayette River. While it is not a traditional fenced dog park, this grassy lot provides pet owners with a scenic spot to walk their dogs and enjoy views of the water. The park includes dog waste bags and trash cans, making it convenient for keeping the area clean during your visit.
Due to the lack of fencing and proximity to busy streets and a marina, dogs must be leashed at all times, making it ideal for dogs with reliable recall. This location is perfect for those seeking a peaceful walk with their pets along pet-friendly trails in Norfolk or a quiet place to play ball with children. Cambridge Crescent Dog Park is a great option for dog owners looking for a relaxed, off-leash alternative in a safe, affluent neighborhood setting.
FAQ for Cambridge Crescent Dog Park in Norfolk Virginia:
It says it is an off leash dog park.. however, it’s in the center or a neighborhood that is subject to heavy traffic and is NOT GATED.I would only bring your pups here if their recall is on point.
Beautiful spot! I walk through here a lot. There are benches where you can look out at the Lafayette River. It’s really nice. There is a dog clean up and trash can here but it’s not really a place to let dogs run free because it’s not fenced. It’s a great place for kids to go and play ball etc.
Confirmed it is indeed a “dog park,” but it’s more of an empty grassy lot in between some streets. There are no fences, so the dogs must be leashed at all times. The park is in front of a marina, so you don’t want your dog loose in case they decide they want to go for a swim. The neighborhood around the park, however, is interesting and looks affluent. Took my dog walking around the neighborhood more than within the park itself.
This is not a dog park, just a big unfenced empty lot that looks fine & happens to have a doggie bag dispenser.
Not fenced in but has bags, space, and in a nice neighborhood.
