Newington Dog Park

Newington Dog Park is a well-maintained and spacious dog park featuring separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. The park offers ample open grassy space with some tree shading along one side, benches for seating, and trash bins. It is wheelchair accessible with parking available along the street. While the park lacks water fountains, poop bag dispensers, and covered shelters, it provides a friendly environment for dogs and owners with plenty of room for dogs to run and play off-leash. The park is free to use and hosts community meetups, though visitors should bring their own water and poop bags.

Beautiful park in a quiet location. There are separate runs for big dogs and little dogs, both decently clean and with plenty of space. Benches for humans and bowls for pups are a nice touch. We’ve occasionally had issues with poorly trained dogs starting fights, though no one was injured.
No real complaints here for what it is. It offers 2 large fenced in areas, one for large dogs, one for small. No water spigot or fountain which is disappointing, so come prepared.
We get together with Connecticut corgis every month to do a meet up here and it is always clean and quiet.
The size of the larger dog area is decent and my girl can run non stop. The majority of our visits have been positive and I’ve met many wonderful people/dogs. Some visits have been not so positive but nothing so bad that I stay away. It can get muddy but it’s outside and it rains, so puddles happen. The best part? It’s free 😉
New dog park opened in Sep 2022. Well designed and maintained, plenty space for both large dogs and small dogs. Lots of tree shades for dog parents. Friendly people.
Only issue is that it is not equipped with tap or trash bag, so remember to bring your own.
Nice sized park! Mostly grass, with a bit of dirt showing through in places. No water and no bags, although there were trash cans. The park, as you can see from the photos has alot of open space, with some trees along the back side… nothing with too much shade potential though. People and dogs were somewhat stand-offish.
Parking is along the street.
