This place deserves its good rating! Beautiful trail with many points to dip your toes in some water. Quiet, forested trails and a lovely dock to look out over the water. Took our dog and he was thrilled!

Peaceful place yo hike in thr forest, with great views of the tidal Damariscotta River, and a few of the oyster farms. There is a public dock, which you can fish from, dock a boat, and just sit and relax. Beautiful trails that with information about the trees and the land as you walk. Pack a picnic, enjoy nature, and please always be respectful and clean up after yourselves!

Great spot. Hidden gem! So many trails to make it more or less miles as you wish. Easy, clean, wide trails. Little to no hills.

Dodge Point Public Reserved Land is a very beautiful trail network. Trail difficulty ranges from easy to moderate. There are several options of hiking trails here. The “Old Farm and Shore Loop” trail is 3.1 miles and takes an average of 1.25 hours to complete; beautiful views of the Damariscotta River along much of this trail; with direct access to several beach areas. Lots of wildlife within this preserve. I love the Ravine Trail (2.4 miles) with all of the moss, ferns, and rustic stone walls. The forest throughout this preserve is gorgeous.

Really nice walk. Eat oysters at any close by farm and then come to walk at Dodge Point Reserve! Two beaches, one is sandy and the other one has pebble rocks. This reserve features a boat landing and a kayak rack, so come by car or by boat. Beautiful woodlands within 10 minutes of Damariscotta.
