I went yesterday. My favorite NH state park. Shallow water. Floats allowed. I love floating on a hot day.
They have a nice little store for food. You can also buy or rent a float. Kayak rentals and boards rentals available. Grass area with shade trees. Grills, picnic tables are also available. Beautiful new playground. Clean bathrooms and separate changing rooms. The water has a nice, non-mucky bottom and is very clear.

Sunapee is such a beautiful place – the lake is small, but pretty clean and not too deep. There are some grassy spots in addition to the beach, and a few picnic tables if you get there early enough to grab one. There’s also a great little shop with snacks/drinks, ice cream treats, and inflatable tubes you can buy and have blown up!

We go there on a regular basis. It’s dog friendly and our dogs really enjoy the hike. At the top of the mountain you can get food and drinks. Highly recommend. It’s a easy hike.

The NULL entrance fee is so much worth it. It’s free after 5pm. Open 24/7 to the public. Bathrooms are closed at 5pm so plan accordingly. It seems like the trash policy is, carry-in carry-out. Very clean beach although small in size, people tend to be kind and share the space. Few grills are available to anyone. But I’ll recommend bringing your own just in case. I had to learn the hard way. Overall great beach to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain views and sunset.
