Overgrown to where you can no longer see the lock & dam. There was also some sketchy activity going on in the parking lot.
Great view from the highest point on the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Cairo.
It was so cool watching a barge go through the locks. Everyone who came to watch was friendly. We even met a young man who worked on a tug. Great conversation!
Great view of the Ohio River & the New lock & dam. Go at sunset for great pics. I believe you can panic there. Picnic tables were available when I was there beginning of March. There is a building with restrooms but I don’t know if it’s locked or open. Also sledding hill during the winter. Sled at your own risk.
Great place for a sunny afternoon walk, especially if you get the chance to see a tug boat pushing a string of barrges down the river.
