Tom’s Dog Run is a welcoming neighborhood dog park located along East 112th Street near FDR Drive, right by the scenic riverfront in New York, NY. This dog-friendly park features a gated enclosure with a wood chip floor, offering a comfortable spot for your pup to socialize and exercise safely. The run is uniquely shaped like a long skinny triangle, making it a relaxing spot with a great breeze, especially on less busy days. Locals appreciate its clean and well-maintained grounds, along with a friendly community atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable.
This park is perfect for both energetic play and quieter solo visits. You’ll find benches for owners, poop bags provided for convenience, and a toy rack (though supply may vary). While there’s no separate area for small and large dogs, the space can accommodate a good number of pups, and people tend to be mindful and welcoming. Tom’s Dog Run is adjacent to pleasant walking paths and airy parks, making it an excellent choice for a dog-friendly outing in New York City.
A bit small but great local spot to let your dog socialize and exercise. Relaxing when not busy and often has a great breeze. Make sure to watch your dog!
It’s a great little wood chip floored dog park. Depending on when you go you will see either a group of small or large dogs, usually pretty friendly. Use your judgement and be nice, people are generally nice here. I’ve been coming to this dog park for almost 8 years and never really had a bad problem.
Great spot to take the pup for playtime and socializing. Everyone I’ve met there has been friendly and dogs have been well behaved. It’s clean, well-maintained, and a decent size. Nothing else you could really ask for in a neighborhood dog run.
Its basically shaped like a long skinny triangle. It can fit a good amount if pups in comfortably. The pup I currently am taking care of has other dog aggression so we went in alone. It was great to get her energy out. Already supplied with bags so you can clean your pups business and they have a toy rack but sadly no toys right now.
It was ok. It’s just a section gated off with some benches inside. It’s adjacent to the FDR and the river and the park itself is nice and airy with a few walking paths. I didn’t go in with Finn as there were some big dogs enjoying each other and I knew it wasn’t safe for us. It was clean and the ground was mostly dirt and leaves so I know he’d be filthy if he wee to run around in there but I will try to go back another weekend.
