We enjoyed hot drinks & pastries at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk near the boating lake in Central Park today at one of their tables in the late evening sunshine, watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake.
My wife enjoyed her weak one shot, milky latte and small moist mini carrot cake and I enjoyed my English breakfast tea but there wasn’t much apple in my apple turnovers, which was mainly dry flakey pastry. The bill came to NULL.
There were public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section offering waiter service for a selection of food & drinks.
It wasn’t too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink.
We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake during one of his regular Saturday slots.

This bakery is amazing and the environment is the BEST! Luis, an employee, was very helpful to my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. So beautiful to be in Central Park right on the water.

Beautiful area, maybe a good brunch spot, but the pastry… Meh! Borderline bad. You know when something taste great and you like it but you have to stop because it’s getting annoying. The cream in their donut thing-y was that after sometime. I threw it away cause I knew I was never finishing it later.

I had the pleasure of being served by Pierre, and his service was truly exceptional. He’s a true professional—attentive, kind, and generous. Every detail was handled with elegance and dedication, making me feel welcome and appreciated at all times. It’s clear he loves what he does, and that makes all the difference. Thank you, Pierre, for making my visit unforgettable! 🤙🏻

I visited so many of this chain stores around the city, but none offers bird chiming, lake site seating surrounded by big trees in Central Park. I can always count on their freshly bake goods and coffee, this location is amazing!
