Seating is available, though visitors may want to bring additional chairs for comfort. The environment is welcoming and safe, offering a tranquil escape from the city’s bustle and pet-friendly trails for leisurely strolls or exercise.
This may be one of the best constructed playgrounds in New York City. Don is a master at hedge work. I look forward to seeing what he does when I visit with my daughter next!

I had the pleasure of visiting Jacob Schiff Playground during a recent trip to New York, and it truly stood out. This park is incredibly clean and wonderfully upkept – a real testament to the care put into it.
It’s a really pleasant and safe environment, perfect for children to play and explore. My kids absolutely loved it, and as a parent, I appreciated the well-maintained facilities and overall inviting atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a fantastic playground in the Upper West Side, whether you’re a local or just visiting, I highly recommend Jacob Schiff Playground. It’s a delightful spot for families!
I came to the park this morning to walk my dog and the park was so clean at 7 am. Thank you, Derrick , “Don”, for keeping this park clean and enjoyable.
Still good but need to fix the liners
It is a very clean and very quiet park if you are especially going to train or walk in the morning! The people are very friendly and you can find free park in the morning around.
It has a space to bring your dog for a walk and play with it, to have healthy fun, and it also has access to people with wheelchairs.
