Tribeca Dog Run is a popular dog park in New York, New York, located along the scenic river walk. This pet-friendly spot offers a rectangular layout perfect for lively games of fetch, and is thoughtfully divided into separate areas for small and large dogs. Owners appreciate the park’s convenient downtown location, the safety provided by its fences, and the special efforts to keep dogs happy and cool—there are fun, interactive water fountains on both sides to help your pup beat the New York summer heat.
Though the park is on the smaller side, it has features that make it a favorite among local dog lovers. There are benches for seating, some shade from riverside trees depending on the time of day, and regularly maintained facilities. Tribeca Dog Run is renowned for its friendly regulars who help enforce the size separation, making it a welcoming and safe destination for dog owners looking to socialize in Lower Manhattan. If you’re searching for a clean, well-run, off-leash dog park with stunning city and river views, Tribeca Dog Run is a must-visit.
Its great because they follow the height and size thingy for the dogs. People actually abide by that and separate their dogs according to size. The people are nice, but its jot really my group of New Yorkers. You can tell its kind of the upper echelon people , and im not upper echelon, so ill probably look for one in the lower east side. I would like a group that me and doggie feel more comfortable with, but my dog loves it. Also, there was one incident where one of the dog owners was a bit snobby about me having my laptop out and working while I was in a dog park. Again, my dog loves it, and im glad he’s safe, but not my crowd.
Amazing dog run configured as a long rectangle which makes for a great space to play fetch. Includes a fountain that sprays water high for dogs from which to play and drink. It also has a small gated off section for small dogs. Both lengths of the dog run are shaded by trees. The regulars are very well behaved.
Convenient location on the river walk. There are two sides for large and small dogs, each has a water feature. Both have benches and some shade, depending on the time of day.
It’s a smaller park but I really love the water fountain feature for hotter days! My pup absolutely loves it haha small dog side and big dog side. Even though its on the busy waterfront, it has trees around and feels somewhat removed from the people and sounds.
This dog run is split into two areas, one for dogs under 23lbs and the other for larger dogs. It’s not that spacious for smaller dogs. There are benches to sit and watch. There’s also a hose that extends pretty far (used to wash away the urine). Could’ve been nicer if there were turf. There’s not much shade so it does get super hot for dogs if it’s really hot out. Also, it’s pretty loud since City Vineyard is right in front of it and the other side has a lot of bikers passing by. It wasn’t crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon and there were only 2-3 larger dogs in the area.
