Sir William's Dog Run

Sir William’s Dog Run is a well-maintained and lively dog park located in beautiful Fort Tryon Park. It features two separate fenced areas for dogs under 25lbs and larger dogs, providing a great space for dogs of different sizes to play safely. There are picnic tables available for visitors, and the natural setting includes woodchips and dirt, so dogs may get muddy. There is no water fountain on site, so owners should bring water for their pets. The park offers a peaceful environment by a stone gazebo and is popular among the local dog community year-round.

Dog park next to a stone gazebo. Often watch the dogs run around while I play Pokemon Go inside the gazebo. It’s so peaceful there when it rains.
An awesome and large dog run. There are two runs. One for smaller dogs and one for large. In a beautiful setting too. Would be even better if there was a water fountain near by. A great experience!
Well maintained dog run in the beautiful Fort Tryon park. There are two separate areas, one for dogs under 25lbs and one for larger dogs. No water fountains/pumps so bring your own. Picnic tables in each area for the humans! Dirt/woodchips so expect your pup to get muddy feet!
Reminded me of the dog park in union square, it is so lively and full of doggies. Encountered about ten different dogs in a span of an hour. Absolutely love this location. Not to mention it is large.
An excellent place to take your pup anytime of year! Great community of uptown dog owners. There is no water source in the park so you’ll have to hike it up with you, or run over to the New Leaf restaurant to refill the bowls.
