Pier 97 is a beautiful new park right on the Hudson River. It is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for all ages. The open lawns, river views, and mix of shady and sunny spots make it a relaxing place to hang out. It is especially relaxing at night. Park personnel patrol the grounds making it feel safe.
Everyone loves the black granite slide that we made!! It’s a hit with kids and honestly pretty fun for adults, too. The slide’s design fits right in with the park’s modern style and adds some real energy to the space. Personally, I would’ve chosen a white granite to match the stairs and other elements. Black a little hot for the summer.
I’m very proud that we provided all the natural stone used throughout Pier 97. The stonework really adds to the atmosphere and sets this park apart from others along the river. It brings a sense of quality and warmth to the planters and stairs.
Whether you’re here to play, picnic, or just enjoy the sunset over the water, Pier 97 is well worth a visit. It’s awesome to see the space so well used by families, joggers, and everyone in between.
Beautiful park, I cycle by most nights. The park rangers keep it very secure and clean. Beautiful views of both the city and Jersey. Cool amenities in the area and new public restrooms. Loungers by the water front too.
Lovely park to relax at. I especially love the teak chaise lounges. On a hot day they are great to tan at.
