Beautiful park for 2 to 3 to 4. But this park is kinda exclusive for U.N. people that live there, if you wanna see real princesses go to the dog run across the street. Some Beautiful women here but do not speak to them, they have diplomatic immunity.

This park I’m always impeccably clean and well kept, unfortunately there is the expectation of the men’s bathroom where taxi drivers use as a pit stop and leave its facilities disgusting. It seems like the person who maintains the park does the best they can and it is reflected in the women’s bathroom and the rest of the park as well. It’s a shame that nothing is being done to keep disgusting taxi drivers with no respect or regard for a children park out of this playground.

Park amenities are third rate and the restroom is in constant use by vagrants posing as taxi drivers who often leave their vehicles idling curbside. The noise from the FDR Drive is often deafening particularly from the city ambulances which use sirens at a decibel-range far above that which causes hearing damage in adults. (Imagine the long term effects on small children.) On the other hand, the park sprinkler is a welcome break from the ever-hotter city summers. The functional drinking fountain there is also a plus. Constant biting wind during wintertime makes for an impossible time.

As a guy bringing the family along for a work trip in NYC – You couldn’t honestly ask for a better park in midtown – low-key, has everything a kid would want to play with and is not too far from anything and everything. Bathroom, water sprinkler, huge slide, swings, sandlot with toys! And decent sized jungle gym.
