A totally sufficient park. Equally good for pickle ball, team sports, and smoking kush with the teens. Playground looks pretty fun. And I wish the bocce court was in better shape. But the fact that it used to be a cemetery and there are probably still people interred there is pretty rad and can make it a little spooky when you’re baked and confused about the cacophony coming from all sides with the court and the field and the playground and the unending traffic from Seventh Ave, and from Hudson also now that I think about it, which is kind of a trip, and sometimes the high school has battle of the bands and there’s usually a lot of construction noises but then there’s the library, which, weirdly, is very very very quiet. It’s crazy.

When I get stressed out at work or just contemplating my purpose in this life, I always take a walk by this park up Hudson Street through the West Village. Was I really put here to sell software?

I find that walking, looking at things far away and drawing a line between myself and an object usually makes me feel better and grounds me. Things can get real testy up in this noggin sometimes.

This park has an athletic field, handball courts, a playground, and ample benches to come out and just chill midday.

Sometimes when I clock out of the matrix and walk by after work, I’ll see grown adults playing soccer or softball under the lights. Idk why, but that always makes me happy. Adults doing what they used to do as kids to bring them joy. I think we need to reconnect with that more than we typically do. Life doesn’t have to be as complicated as we make it.

Only have been here for a couple of travel softball games. We like this park. Wish there were bathrooms though.
