Carl Schurz Park Dog Runs

Carl Schurz Park Dog Runs is a well-maintained and dog-friendly park located on the East River in Manhattan. It features separate areas for small and large dogs, providing a great space for pets to play off-leash. The park offers beautiful river views, plenty of seating, grassy areas for relaxation, and amenities including basketball and pickleball courts, playgrounds, and public restrooms. Visitors appreciate the fresh water available for dogs, though shade is limited due to a mostly cement surface in the dog runs area. The park is accessible, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and is conveniently near a ferry stop.

Nicest park in Manhattan, I think. Very well maintained. There are pickle ball courts, a dog run, public bathrooms, plenty of places to set up a chair and chill and beautiful views. If you take the ferry to 90st, the park is right there. This park is definitely worth going on a nice day. Bring a sandwich and enjoy your outing.
Nice park on the East side of Manhattan facing astoria queens and roosevelt Island. Park has plenty of benches facing the east river, the views don’t disappoint. Park is very dog friendly with its play area for small puppies. Park also plenty of grassy are to lounge around with friends and family. There’s also a nyc ferry stop at the north end of the park. Definitely worth visiting.
Beautiful park nestled on The East River. They have a small and large dog parks, tables with checker boards painted, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, grassy areas, trails and classes offered. Enjoyed my visit here thoroughly.
Best pickleball courts in this area! Crowded on weekends but not so many people from Monday to Thursday 🎾
Just wish there was some type of shade/covering because it is all cement so when the sun starts shining on a warm day, it’s impossible to use. But otherwise, small but fun park with loads of balls and fresh water for all! Plus the view is nice 🙂
