Kristi Babcock Memorial Park in New Windsor, New York, is a beautiful local destination known for its well-maintained fields, modern playground with padded ground, and spacious pavilions. While this park is fantastic for family outings, sporting events, and community gatherings, it is important to note there is a No Pet Policy in effect, except for service animals. This makes the park less suitable for dog owners seeking off-leash activities or pet-friendly amenities.

The park stands out with shaded areas, a fenced-in children’s play space, clean bathrooms (in the main season), picnic tables under a large pavilion, and extensive sporting fields. While the playground is ideal for families with young children seeking a safe and secure environment, pet-friendly features such as off-leash areas, fenced dog enclosures, or water stations for pets are not available. For those searching for a dog park in New Windsor, New York, Kristi Babcock Memorial Park is better known for its family and sports amenities, not dog-specific recreation.

Such a great playground. Loved having a little
Lunch under the pavilion and letting the kids play.

Beautiful ball fields and beautiful children’s park with Ga-Ga ball. Nicely shaded for the kids. Great atrium for eating and keeping cool on hot game days. Nathrooms were clean. Would definitely recommend that the concession stand be open when we have all day tournaments. It takes so long to drive into town and pick up stuff. Definitely wish they had a cooling off station.

Great playground for children. It is fenced in. Children can roam the entire playground all they want in a safe enclosed playground. It also has throughout the entire playground soft padded squares. Children can fall all they want without injury. The adjacent soccer fields also offer grass land for children to run around on getting their exercise as well as getting the children tired. The park is named for a former Town Employee whose time on earth was cut short.
There is a large covered pavilion with plenty of tables. There is a No Pet Policy; accept for service pets. It is a nice hidden area for families with children looking for them to get plenty of exercise. Remember, summertime is here and the children need plenty of fluids, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses are important. Check it out and enjoy a safe area designed for children.

Spacious and well landscaped. Nice playground with modern equipment and rubberized grounding. Pavilion with tables and nearby bathrooms. At the pavilion is a memorial to the park’s namesake, Kristi Babcock. New Windsor Community Day is held here. In 2023 the Orange County Libertarian Party erected a stall at this event.

Been here only twice now, but it’s an amazing and spacious, fenced in play area for various ages of kids. I have young kids and they both had a blast there. Many different activities that they can mess around with. Just have to be a little careful if you have little ones and there are a lot of older kids horseplaying around. They have a large sports field that was occupied by teams both times I visited. However I was only interested in the kids play area.
