Welcome to the New Richmond Area Off Leash Dog Park, a top choice for dog owners seeking a spacious, dog-friendly destination in New Richmond, WI. This park stands out with its large, fully fenced areas that allow dogs to run and play off-leash, plus dedicated separate zones for large and small breeds. Surrounded by natural beauty, dog lovers can enjoy peaceful pet-friendly trails and a safe environment for pups to socialize and exercise freely.
Visitors appreciate the park’s accessibility—including a wheelchair-accessible parking lot—and thoughtful amenities such as a pavilion, picnic tables, benches, and trash bins conveniently scattered around the grounds. While there is plenty of open space for dogs to stretch their legs and a covered shelter in the large dog area, the park does not currently offer running water or shaded areas in the smaller section. Friendly patrons, conscientious cleanup practices, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a must-visit for anyone in the St. Croix County area looking for a high-quality dog park experience.
Having been to several local dog parks, I feel safe in saying New Richmond’s is a cut above. Two separate fenced in areas allow for the separation of dogs if needed and everyone I’ve met has been super friendly. There is also a large pavilion with tables and a few benches and trash can scattered about. A few negatives include the lack of running water, trees in the main areas, and a paved lot but overall the large fenced space makes this park an asset to NR dog owners.
I love our local dog park. I wish they had a couple more covered seating areas but overall it’s a large area to let your pup run around. There’s a smaller area for the smaller breeds as well. Most owners are conscientious about cleaning up their dog’s piles. It would be nice if everyone was! About 3 laps is a mile FYI.
It’s a great park. I just wish the smaller section had some shade. The big section has a pavilion and picnic tables.
Biggest dog park I’ve seen thus far… daily use fee (NULL) or yearly permit. I ended up getting the yearly for all of wisconsin, cause we were stuck for 4 days and made the most out of it with lots of hiking!
There’s a NULL daily usage fee….
The one I was in is about a mile to walk around, I’m guessing the other one is much smaller. It is fenced in, but there’s no way your dog would know that. Nice for my girl to stretch her little legs… I was the only one there at that time, but there’s a big covered sitting area for everyone if it should ever get busy…
