Blue Ridge Park is a charming, pet-friendly destination tucked away in the welcoming community of New Milford, Pennsylvania. This large park offers scenic tranquility away from traffic, making it an appealing spot for both fur parents and their pups seeking outdoor adventure. Visitors rave about its clean grounds and facilities, as well as the ease of access from I-81 and plentiful open green spaces where dogs can run and play (on-leash). A paved walking path encircles the park, providing an excellent route for dog walking and enjoying the views of nearby natural attractions such as the old viaduct and local rail trail.
While not a dedicated dog park, Blue Ridge Park is noted for its pet-friendly atmosphere, ample parking (though it can get busy during events), and various amenities including picnic tables, a large play area for kids, sports fields, and a gazebo with shaded seating. Restrooms, vending machines, and a seasonal public pool are available, though the pool is not dog-accessible. The park’s well-maintained lawns and convenient paved walkways make it a popular choice for families looking to combine dog walking with kid-friendly activities, picnicking, or simply relaxing in a peaceful neighborhood setting.

Nice park , had a great large paved walking lane running around the park and athletic field. Pets welcome. Also has a borough pool which is only NULL per person admission or option to get season pass. This was first year I got the season pass which my daughter loved. There is a gazebo with picnic benches and grills next to it.
Seen quite a few birthday parties held here the last couple months.
It’s a really nice park in a great small town neighborhood. However, the bathrooms are locked unless there’s a game. The pool is in need of replacing. It’s been fixed too many times. There are a few other parks around but this is the only one with a pool. Nice playground, basketball court, walking track and baseball/football fields. Someone needs to raise money for a new pool. 5/18/23
We go every weekend in late summer for soccer games, I’m glad there is a play area for kids aswell.
Parking can be an issue on these busy days.
The pool needs some power washing for sure and the womens bathroom was out of hand soap. However this is a very cute pool and for NULL pp per day it’s a great option in the summer!
