Located along River Road, NL Jaycees Dog Park is a spacious and well-loved destination for dog owners in New London, Wisconsin. Featuring large, fenced-in areas, the park offers separate spaces for small and large dogs to play off-leash, providing peace of mind for every pet parent. The dog park is surrounded by plenty of trees offering shade, benches for relaxing, and a covered pavilion for additional shelter. The friendly community and ample room to roam make it perfect for socializing both dogs and their humans.
Visitors appreciate the thoughtful amenities like provided waste bags (when available), benches, and a port-a-potty restroom that’s wheelchair-accessible. While there isn’t a fixed water fountain, heated water bowls are often set out, and many owners keep large water jugs filled for everyone’s dogs—especially helpful in colder months. If your pup loves water, there’s even a river swimming spot just across the road, making this park uniquely suited for a variety of playful outdoor activities. If you’re seeking a welcoming, well-shaded off-leash experience in New London, NL Jaycees Dog Park is an excellent choice.
Great place, but you must bring your own water and poop bags. Most people will put large water containers and keep them fill up, and many bring plastic bags from local markets for poop, but it empties out fast. Love there is a large port-a-potty that a wheelchair can fit into with hand sanitizer container on the wall!!! Only drawback is that the smokers leave their butts all over the park, especially by the covered pavillion where the picnic tables are, which can make a fog so k it they eat them!!!
pros
Park is average size to the other dog parks I’ve been to. People are friendly and I’ve only encountered a couple not so friendly dogs. Plently of places to sit. There is a water bowl that is heated so the water doesn’t freeze.
cons
No bathroom and no water. You can walk across the road and fill up a jug when I river isn’t froze over.
Took my new puppy for the first time to start her socialization. Started her in small dog area by herself. After she seemed comfortable there we brought her over by the other dogs and their parents. Everyone was very friendly and we were comfortable bringing our 11 week old pup by the others. All in All, Great first time experience.
Nice dog park with plenty of trees, benches, waste bags and even a portapotty
I take my dog there all the time. I love that they provide bags in case you forget one and the fact that they have a small dog area and a large dog area and the dog park itself is just huge. I also like the fact that there’s a swimming area across the street, so if your dog likes to go swimming and you feel comfortable, you can take him across the street and let him go swimming in the river.
