FAQ for Clark Lookout in New London New Hampshire:
Beautiful scenery. Slight uphill hike on nice gravel path, less than half of a mile each way. Park & Ride parking lot across the street from the trail entrance. Well worth it.
Parking is best in the bus commuter lot then walk across road to front gate. Some park on Davis Hill Road but I wouldn’t suggest that. Walk is about 150 yards. Takes 10 minutes. Slight incline on wide path. Careful of broken glass near beginning of trail. The scene is fantastic and worth the visit. You can see the two light houses and the far windmills.
This was an absolute beautiful stop on my way to Vermont. The view of the lake with the mountains in the background is incredible. Also it’s very accessible. Just a short walk up some hills. Would highly recommend stopping if you’re traveling down highway 89.
It’s quite wonderful during the fall. You can see all the vibrant colors. Just a 10 minute walk from the trail head. The elevation is a bit steep, But it’s enjoyable.
Perfect stop off the 89 for those who wants to stretch or have a picnic with the view🤩Follow the sign to Park&Ride, park at the parking lot, and an entrance to the trail is right across the parking. 6 min walk (a bit steep) and you are surprised with a beautiful view 😍You dont need a map for the trail – its very easy to follow the signs. There is a cute little library on the way for those who would like to grab a book and read with the view ☺️
