Brought our little doggie to the dogpark here. The dogpark is actually the only decently maintained area in this park. The Town of North Hempstead should be ashamed at the neglect of this public park!! The taxes we pay living in this area are most definitely not being used to refurbish nor maintain this place!! Not to be believed!! How are they getting away with leaving this in such shabby condition??!! Terrible!!
Not big park but still pretty good. It has dog park, playground, soccer courts and indoor pool (for residents). Lake is close but no access.
Nice park w some extra rec courts. Nice lil nature to walk through, and a decent bit of odd graffiti.
Used to come here as a kid to soccer practice and their recent renovation of the turf and track just makes the field look beautiful once again. Tully Park so important for the area and the soccer community here. Big thanks for this renovation
Michael J. Tully Park is a beautiful and well-maintained space that offers so much to the community. It’s a fantastic place for families to gather, kids to play, and residents to enjoy some fresh air and recreation.
That said, I was genuinely concerned by the lack of security in the parking lot. During my visit, I witnessed cars dangerously drifting through the area, which felt incredibly unsafe—especially with so many children and families around. It really took away from the overall positive experience.
I strongly suggest that the local authorities consider installing surveillance cameras and posting clear signage indicating that the parking area is under 24/7 monitoring. “No Drifting” signs could also serve as a helpful deterrent. This park has so much to offer, and with a few key safety improvements, it could be even more enjoyable and secure for everyone.
