We’ve lived here for almost three years now, and like with any apartment, there are bound to be some issues. When we first moved in, we loved this place. It was brand new, management was attentive, and things felt well taken care of. Unfortunately, that level of care has gone downhill over time.

There’s been a lot of turnover with new hires and new management, and it’s obvious that the previous team cared more about the community and residents. Now, it just feels like we’re an afterthought.

Some ongoing issues include:
• Trash areas are constantly overflowing (as you can see in the pictures below).
• Dog waste is everywhere despite it being a pet-friendly complex.
• The water quality is so poor that dishes never come out clean from the dishwasher—we have to hand-wash everything.
• Hot water runs out quickly. We’re a household of two, and even with showers spaced out by hours, we can barely get 10 minutes of hot water. Maintenance came out, but it didn’t solve the issue—and many neighbors have complained about the same thing.
• Utility bills are extremely high. Our DTE bill for a 1-bedroom apartment is consistently over NULL–NULL/month. We know we’re not alone, as many residents have shared similar concerns on the community page.
• Noise is a constant problem. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors’ TVs and doors closing.
• Teenagers roam the property rudely and disrespectfully, with no enforcement or supervision from management.

But honestly, the final straw has been the pool. It was open for about two weeks—and has now been closed since June 5th due to failing inspection. We’ve received very little communication about what’s going on, what’s being done, or even an estimated reopening date. The pool is the one thing that makes us stay year after year, and we’re now heading into late June/early July with no access during peak summer. What makes it worse? You can hear the apartment complex next door enjoying their pool.

To be clear, I understand some things are out of management’s control. But what’s frustrating is the lack of empathy and lack of communication—especially when so many residents are rightfully upset.

The one bright spot I have to mention is Greg, the maintenance man. He’s incredibly kind, clearly cares about the community, and always greets residents with a smile. He’s the one person here who truly goes above and beyond.

My family and I have loved living in the Crossings. The location is great and the staff on the property has been nothing but amazing. All the front office staff and Greg, the maintenance/groundkeeper, are fantastic and have been beyond helpful with all of our requests/issues that may arise. Great place to live!

The Crossings has been a great place to live for the past 9 months. We have had some issues with the water heater and the A/C unit since we have moved in and the staff has been extremely responsive in fixing our issues, especially Greg. Any concern we have had has been promptly addressed and managed by Greg and the front desk staff. Great place to rent!

5/5 – 👍🏼Incredible Maintenance Service from Greg👍🏼

I just wanted to take a moment to shout out Greg at my apartment complex. I have been here for approx 2 years and could not tell you Greg’s ‘official title’- truly because he helps out wherever he can.
Anytime something needs fixing, he’s quick to respond- For instance my AC unit on a 95° day!

It’s clear tell he genuinely cares about the residents and wants to make sure we’re comfortable and happy in our homes.

Thank you Greg! I LOVE THIS PLACE.

We lived at the crossing for over 2 years and have enjoyed our time here! Andrew helped up with our lease and was amazing and has been during our time here. He has helped us manage our day to day issues, as well as our lease. The amenities are top notch, the pool and workout facility to be specific. Grills set up everywhere around the property for access. The maintenance crew (Greg) is elite. The complex is safe and quiet. Would recommend if you can afford luxury living.
