Our stay at Garden and Sea Inn was wonderful. This place is oozing with charm and is made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Grace prepared us the best breakfasts of our lives. We could have happily stayed on the property the whole time.
The Nelson room was perfect for us, and I’m still dreaming about the bed. All-around a great experience and worth the splurge!

Absolutely the most comfortable and hospitable 2 night stay I’ve ever had. Thank you Grace for the amazing food and wonderful conversations!

The history of the property was very beautiful to learn about. If you stay, please be sure to sit by the old fireplace and look through the photo album while the sipping coffee to classical music!

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I chose it at random because it is half way between Lewes and 95, so it was a welcome stop on our journey home. The whirlpool tub in the Chardonnay room was powerful and exactly what we needed. The innkeeper, Grace, is gracious and welcoming. Welcome surprise gem! Highly Recommended!

We stayed at the Garden and Sea Inn for the first time this weekend and are confident that it will be our go-to spot to stay anytime we are in the Virginia Eastern Shore area!!! The accommodations are charming and well-stocked with anything you could need. Our host Grace was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and of course, she cooks an amazing breakfast! The common areas feature many opportunities for enjoyment, including a pool table, books and board games, a record player, a swinging hammock, and porches stocked with rocking chairs. There’s also a pool open in the summer, which we will have to come back to enjoy since it wasn’t warm enough to open quite yet! An easy & scenic twenty-minute drive gets you to the Chincoteague/Assateague area, where we spent most of our time enjoying wildlife, beaches, and seafood. We would highly recommend booking a stay at the Garden and Sea Inn!!!

We had an excellent stay! Our room was beautiful and clean, our dog absolutely loved exploring the property, and breakfast was absolutely delicious! Grace is an amazing host and an overall lovely person. She tries her best to make accommodations and make sure you’re taken care of. She makes her own beauty products, too! Love the lavender lotion and soap I got. Grace also has great local suggestions, so make sure you take her up on them. Would definitely stay again!
