We are so fortunate to have so many lovely parks in Lawrence County. Scotland Meadows is truly a gem. Ducks and geese for the children to enjoy watching. We had a great time!We just had additional wonderful experiences at Scotland Meadows Park. It is so pleasant here, even in the lovely rain! Thank you, Union Township!
I love this park. There’s something for everyone to do. Stuff for little kids, stuff for big kids & for me. There’s 2 separate playgrounds, the duck pond, to feed the very ppl friendly ducks or fish. Baseball fields, pavilions, & paths into the woods. There’s a little creek we like to walk through & look for rocks & there’s porta potties!!
It’s good to see they added the paved walking trail, I saw several people walking all around on it. Very clean park, I wish there were more benches, and there’s some good spots in the middle to fly kites on a windy nice day. We’ve been here in the past for birthday parties, balloon quest, and feeding the ducks at the small pond. Today we just packed our dinner, sat in a pavilion and enjoyed our family meal and its was very peaceful and beautiful. I want to come back out and take more pictures of the walking trail and overall perimeter.
One of the best parks near by IMO, they have bike/walking path( I feel like it needs expanded) a pond with ducks baseball basketball and the playground for the kids is really nice, I wish they would fix up the basketball court some more and Maybe that whole upper area as a whole, but easily my favorite park to go to right now
Balloon Fest 2017 was enjoyable too see the hot air balloons show their colors and designs. Hoping weather is nicer next time to take a ride if available. Carnival is a little small, but ok. Food is great!
