Great little turnout style park. Very peaceful. The parking lot faces the lake, you can even sit in your car in the cold weather and enjoy the views.
It’s a really nice place to go. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. And it’s a place you can catch fish at.
Best dog park! My dogs and I love this park. Usually very quiet and not a lot of people. Perfect place to watch the sunrise and for the dogs to swim. Also seems to be upkept very well except for the people who cant figure out how to clean up after their dogs (even though they provide doggie bags)
It’s a great place to walk from your house if you’re in the area. It has various places to sit and beautiful lake scenery. It provides free doggy bags and also a place to throw away dog waste. Great for taking your dog to play fetch, or to take them for a dip in the lake.
This park has become mostly just a dog park. They USED to have swings, a slide, seesaws, and stuff for kiddos to play on, but they’ve removed ALL of it, and left it empty. There are only a few “In Memory Of” benches and a couple picnic tables to sit on, otherwise, it’s mainly a place for dogs to play (they still have to be on leashes though, so you can’t let them free-play) or to go fishing.
I used to love bringing my kids here, it was never too crowded and it was closer to home than the Walter and Mary Burke Park.
