Located at 1935 Budd Rd, New Albany Dog Park offers a spacious, members-only off-leash area where dogs can socialize, exercise, and play. The park features a well-maintained grassy environment, making it a pleasant alternative to the gravel surfaces at many other dog parks in the region. Known for its friendly local community, regular visitors comment on the welcoming atmosphere and positive experiences for both pets and their owners.
The park is wheelchair accessible with dedicated parking, ensuring inclusive access for all visitors. While membership is required—which may not suit out-of-town guests—it helps maintain the park’s quiet and clean reputation. If you’re seeking a “dog-friendly park in New Albany, Indiana” for your four-legged friend to roam safely off-leash, this park is a top local choice.
The park itself is pretty, but Google fails to mention the actual dog park is members only. We wouldn’t have driven over twenty minutes had we known that. We’re from out of town, so doesn’t make sense for us to get a membership. Could be more signage and advertisement that this is a members only park.
Members only but don’t advertise this. Also has a bizarre/paranoid sign about how you are being recorded, in a dog park. Weird
My dog loves the park and interaction with the other dogs.
Amazing and friendly group of dogs and their humans. Lots of room to run. we just recently moved to new Albany and have only been coming to the park for about a month. Not a single issue
You need a membership to use this park. Thar said, It’s quiet and well maintained. There is actually grass instead of gravel like many parks I’ve seen. Worth the money
