I stayed here on my way back to Ontario from North Dakota. The Crow Wing is was one of the top motels I’ve stayed in. The room was very clean and comfortable, and decorated in a fun and inviting way. I’d stay here again anytime. My only regret was arriving late and leaving early the next morning.
This review is for the RV park. Perfect location for bike enthusiasts. The Heartland State Trail passes thru town on its way from Park Rapids to Cass Lake. The Heartland (which is flat) intersects the Paul Bunyan State Trail (which is hilly) about 10 miles east of Nevis. Laundromat, restaurants, gas stations, post office, and liquor store provide essential services. All are within 2 blocks of the park. Level sites with full hooked. Excellent firewood, too. All they need is a full service bike shop and a Walmart. Oh wait… those are an easy 10 mile drive away in Park Rapids.
We book at the motel and had the best stay! The beds were comfortable and the shower was a amazing. The refrigerator was big enough to hold our beverages. We brought up our ATV and their was plenty of parking for our big trailer. The local business were great! Everyone we ran into made us feel very welcome. We loved talking to the locals. The owners were VERY nice to visit with and made us feel very welcomed as well. We will back
We booked an RV site. We got in over the holiday weekend, and you cannot beat the price for full hookups! The owners are very friendly and easy going. They showed us our site and said we could set up anyway we wanted. They are super close to ATV trails and a bonus is there is a self car wash next door! Lots of room to park a vehicle with trailer. They are about a 1/2 mile from a great beach area. If your looking for camping close to ATV trails and a beach at 1/2 the price of other spots check them out!!
So far, this is the nicest motel I’ve seen here. The people are fantastic and friendly and have a genuine concern for the welfare of their guests. It was nearly empty when I briefly visited and I really can’t fathom why. It’s very nice, extremely clean, in close proximity to several other establishments, and not too terribly far from the trail system. Hunting cabin decor was awesome. Price was right, and I’ll recommend it to everyone I can, whenever I get a chance. There is an RV area nearby as well.
