Room To Roam Dog Park offers an expansive, well-manicured, fenced-in haven for dogs and their owners in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. This volunteer-maintained dog park utilizes reclaimed land and features wide open meadows, wooded pet-friendly trails, and plenty of space for dogs to run off-leash. Enjoy shaded picnic tables, benches, and seating scattered throughout the area, ensuring pet owners can relax while their pups play.
Conveniently, waste stations with bags and trash bins are placed all around the park, making cleanup easy and promoting a clean, enjoyable environment for everyone. Several water stations are available to keep your dogs hydrated (note: bring water jugs, as there’s no running water onsite). The park even offers some agility equipment for training and playful exercise. Room To Roam is a unique community hub for dog lovers, run on donations and maintained by local volunteers who invite guests to contribute supplies or lend a hand.
Amazing dog park! They have lots of bins of old grocery bags. What a great idea to repurpose!!! An d they have clean water! And agility area!
This is a great dog park, where the dogs usually can run around. Last time my dog lightly bumped into a man who complained that he had bad knees, so I left and I won’t go back.
Great!!! Awesome dog park!! They provide bags and garbage cans everywhere. There’s TONS of space for dogs to run like crazy and they even have some agility equipment set up. There’s also water available for the pups. Despite this volunteer group doing so many amazing things for the community, there are still some dreadful people who think it’s okay to not clean up after their dog. They should be ashamed of themselves.
There are so many great reasons to visit this dog park. They have reused a waste land and turned into a incredibly large well manicured fenced in park. There is a nice trail that winds around and goes from open land and also thru some wooded areas. Plenty of benches and picnic tables to just rest and enjoy. There are “poop” bags at many stations with a garbage can and plenty of water stations scattered throughout the park. So if you visit please be respectful and responsible and clean up after your dog and yourself many people work hard so many others can enjoy this special place and most importantly it’s about the dogs remember that. They keep it going by donations so aluminum is welcome drop area is at front gate, plastic bags are always needed so bring extras if you have them and also the gallon water jugs. There is no running water there so feel free to take a empty jug or two if you plan on coming back shortly and refill them. It’s incredible to have such a nice space that is just dedicated to dogs so do your part visit, enjoy and volunteer or just bring supplies every little action of positivity goes a long way. An amazing gratitude to all those who keep this place a place for all.
I can’t rave about this place enough. I love dog parks and all the different breeds of people and animals. I’d like to see a little more training devices there but love this place.
