We ventured to Naturita Colorado on a hot summer Sunday. The entire drive was eye candy!! Rock formations that took into the land of dinosaurs, old mines, views, and more views. It’s a 62 mile drive into the town after turning off 491 so this adventure is an all day event. The temps were in the nineties and humidity is non-existent. The town itself was basically shut down (the Sunday after the 4th) with a couple restaurants open and the grocery store. Our pup needed to smell some grass and we fell upon the park! Giant Cottonwood trees offered shade right next to the San Miguel River. Lots of benches, picnic tables, a play ground, horse shoe pits too. The park made the drive delightful!
