🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Naples KOA Holiday offers a welcoming outdoor space for dogs to enjoy. While specific amenities are not detailed, it is known as a dog-friendly park within a well-maintained campground area, providing a natural environment for pets and their owners.
We spent Father’s Day Weekend at Naples KOA, returning after a two-year break. To be candid, we had previously stepped away due to concerns about the campground’s direction. After nearly two decades as seasonal campers, we felt the atmosphere had shifted in a way that no longer aligned with what we loved.
However, our recent stay was nothing short of exceptional! For those who, like us, fondly remember the days of Pam and Conrad Crepeau’s ownership, we’re happy to report that the current team is bringing that spirit back. If you’ve felt let down over the past few years, we strongly encourage you to give this team another chance.
The current manager, Val, is highly professional, attentive, and lives on-site, which adds a personal and reassuring touch. Ruth and Di in the office greeted us warmly, setting a welcoming tone right from the start. Activities led by Jimmy C and Joanie were engaging and full of energy. A special shoutout to camper Laura, who helped bring a Family Feud-style game show to life—it was hilarious and incredibly well done!
We stayed in one of the deluxe camping cabins, which was well-appointed and included everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable weekend.
Very clean campground the bathhouses were spotless, but the whole place seemed to be catered for seasonal campers. There wasn’t anything to do at the campground. There was no lake access at all. People didn’t do much at the campground.Except sleep, I would not recommend this.
Again.
Entering the campground the road could use some work. The speed bumps through out the park are ridiculously high and plentiful. They probably need them for the many seasonal carts that were running the roads. The Staff member at check-in was very friendly. I was surprised they didn’t escort you to your site and didn’t pickup trash. Not the standards of the many KOA’s we’ve stayed in before. Roads were dirt and gravel the site location was gravel and in need of weed removal. Our view from the coach window was a row of seasonal campers. Don’t be fooled by the photos, the only real areas of landscape are on the long term sites which I assume are the owners doing. One area of seasonal campers had dog fencing which encompassed three to four sites so the dogs would run barking at you and your dogs the whole length. Didn’t feel that the long term peeps cared for us transient campers. The dog park was large but the grass needed cutting. We didn’t use any of the facilities so I can’t rate them. We wouldn’t stay at this KOA again.
Clean campground. Mainly a fifth wheel or pull along campground. Few tent sites so bath houses are far walk and not close by. Great kid activities, from the jump pad, playground and pool. Drivable and close by Naples Causeway to grab a bite if not feeling like cooking. Staff are pleasant, friendly.
We spent Thursday to Sunday at the campground and wish we could have stayed longer. The campground is well maintained and very clean. We were the only people in the pool a lot of the time. The kids enjoyed the planned Saturday activities. It’s nice to feel like kids can safely bike around the campground without us being beside them. The dog park and trails are nice to have. I wish there was more food available on the weekends and daily activities for mid-week visits. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The campground is quiet at night.
