Rode from Ebensburg to Nanty Glo and back. It was a bit under 15 miles and not hard at all.
Just to note there is a bit of a grade when riding west to east.
Ebensburg the eastern terminus of the GTT is over 2000 feet in elevations, with the western terminus at Saylor Park being a bit over 1000 feet.
Amazing trail to bike, there are countless reviews of the GTT, I’m from Johnstown so it’s a bit of a drive to get there but well worth it. I’ve lived all over, and I think sometimes we forget the beauty we get to experience in western PA, and the GTT highlights so much of it. I had to get off my bike often, because some of the sights were so wonderful that I needed to soak them up or grab a picture to send to friends. If you love the outdoors, you owe it to yourself to check this trail out.
It was a particularly pleasant day yesterday and conditions were good for a walk or run memo people needs to pick up their dogs dirty
