Wonderful walk through a northern marsh, with many interesting dragonfly species. The short walk is mostly a boardwalk.
What I found most intriguing about this marsh were these exotic looking flowers sort of resembling the common houseplant called the Peace Lily. In addition to that, the lake with all of the trees in the background made for some undoubtedly picturesque scenery.
Was recommended to visit this trail and was not disappointed. It is a wooden boardwalk through a marsh with really nice views. The walkway is large enough for a stroller, there are a few portions that have dipped creating an uneven walkway but it’s still very manageable. It’s very relaxing, not far from the road but the road has very low traffic.
Really nice, peaceful walk on the boardwalk through the marsh. Vegetation is pretty densely packed alongside in some places, as if the wooden structure is just a month or two away from disappearing altogether. Only saw some red squirrels and a heron, but according to signs throughout, there’s a lot more that can be seen if you’re lucky/patient enough.
Nice quick loop to do around the marsh. The boardwalk is really nice and the plant life is interesting.
