Heritage Center truly stands out as one of the most inviting, family- and pet-friendly parks in the Mt Sinai area.
I love taking the kids here but the yellow jackets are out of hand! They’re all over the playground and swarming the kids! Please, please consider doing some sort of pest control! It ruins the entire experience.
Booking was easy. Place is spacious. However, we paid for an extra hour to set up. We arrived at 12 and nobody was there. Finally someone opened at 12:15, but there were no tables or chairs set up! This was stated in the contract and a seating chart is required prior to the event. We literally lost the hour having to set everything up ourselves. I contacted management, who have always been quick to reply prior to the event, and there has been no response after two attempts.
I love the park attached. Never have I attended any of the events inside the center, so I cannot say anything about the indoor experiences. Overall a safe family environment. The hills are fun to roll down on and sled in winter. The summer events outside are really nice. Fridays are full of treats to purchase from food trucks. Everyone brings their friendly neighborly personalities and hope it stays that way. All parks should be this organized.
Very nice park over by me. They’ve done a lot to improve the park over the years including, soccer fields, a tree maze for the kids, a mini golf putting green, playground area, now with a snack stand, accessible restrooms, event center and a walking path with a nice garden in the back of the event center. There is a baseball field. They also have carnivals throughout the year they advertise and now they even do “Food truck Fridays” from 2pm-8pm.
Great place to walk, relax, read a book or bring a blanket or chair. Love having a community garden plot! Great sun, water and space to learn and grow. Check it out!
