Absolutely loved playing in the snow at this place. But watch where you park!!!! I had a ticket on my car when I came back from snow play. Just because every other car is parked there Don’t do it! They enforce what is posted.

Good spot to start a hike or mtn. bike ride. Miles of trails and meadows and a lake. Can be very warm in the summer and gets some snow in the winter. To park here you need a Forest Adventure pass.

Very popular place on the weekends. The Meadows Information Kiosk at mile marker 19 is just a start. Park here if your plan to take the Sunset Trail. The trail goes around Big Laguna Lake. This trail starts across the street from here. There are other access points further North up the road too. Lots of pine trees to quickly immerse yourself in. This meadow did not have the amount of wildflowers that were seen just up the trail. There are well kept Portapotties on the side of the road and a trashcan here. There is at least one picnic table in the meadow. Very nice informational boards here. Comfortable and clean area.Don’t forget your adventure pass! You can get one in Pine Valley at the gas station on your way up. To get one, if you are coming from San Diego taking 8.Get off the freeway at Pine Valley exit. Turn Left at the stop sign and right on Old Hwy 80. The gas station is on the left. When you have it, continue East on the 80 until you reach Sunrise Hwy and turn Left.
