Nestled between small communities in South Jersey, Haddon Lake Park offers a peaceful oasis perfect for dog owners and families seeking fresh air and beautiful scenery. Known for its well-maintained grounds, paved one-mile walking loop, and lovely lake views, the park welcomes leashed dogs for walks on its pet-friendly trails and paths. Enjoy friendly company, encounters with local ducks and turtles, and shaded spots to relax—making it a standout dog park in Mt Ephraim, New Jersey.
Haddon Lake Park features playgrounds, picnic tables, and wide open spaces, making it ideal for a family day out. The park is wheelchair accessible with paved paths and accessible parking, ensuring everyone can enjoy the scenic areas. With its reputation for cleanliness, safety, and diverse activities for both children and pets, this park is a popular local go-to for brisk walks, playtime, and memorable outings with your furry friends.
Although I had to yell at some random kid who thought it was ok to beat a turtle with the stick of a fishing net. I didn’t care who was listening either.
There aren’t anything notable about this park aside from that it’s a calm place to walk in, either alone or maybe with your dogs. Young kids will likely be bored if you stay too long. But there is a pretty new small playground right next to the lake and there is also a parking space for several cars.
This is my favorite nearby park. There is a paved one mile loop, a playground and it continues on if you cross the street where there is another playground and stage. If you continue up to station ave there is a little war memorial. I believe they’re currently building a bathroom as well at the prospect ridge end.
I commute to Camden 6 out of 7 days, with a small child in tow. This park is the silver lining to what is other wise, a very bleak & dreary landscape. It is a little oasis to what’s in my opinion, a surrounding area, pretty much void of any kid friendly spaces. Beautiful views of the water, great outdoor spaces for kids to be active/play, safe trails for joggers, & the grounds are very well kept. Idk who enjoys the park more, my 5 yr old or myself.👍🙃
When we visited Haddon Lake Park, it was hidden between two small communities in South Jersey. Its autumn foliage was beautiful and colorful during this time of year. As we walked around the park, their was a large lake displaying 3 fountains, fishing, many types of ducks and turtles, friendly people and the visuals in the park gave us a sense of quietness and peacefulness.. If you are in an exercise mood it is a nice place to take a jog or brisk walk. There are several park benches enabling you to sit and check out the scenery. I would recommend a visit – if you needed a couple hours to “get away” and “relax”.
