Hubby and I stayed a month in the hotel, and a month in our rv in the rv park. Hotel is nice and clean. The owners Kevin and Ruth are great! So friendly and helpful. Christine is sassy and fun. She was a big help to us in transitioning from hotel to us transporting our rv there. Jane is sweet as well. Maintenance was friendly. Overall couldn’t ask for better accommodations. We are going back to stay in the rv while working again in new mexico. Definitely check them out if you get a chance!

The reason I’m leaving a 1 star review is because of a particular employee that made our stay here a nightmare. My husband got there in December (2024). The rest of my family arrived in January. The first time I went to pick up and package, this particular employee started complaining that my husband’s truck is too loud and he isn’t supposed to or allowed to drive by her camper in the mornings. Only problem is, he had been riding with a coworker since he got there. I told her this. She then changed the story to late last night. She was in bed and he drove by her camper and revved his truck. It was 5pm. Right after he had gotten home. He also didn’t rev his truck. Simply pushed the gas. It’s an old truck. The next problem was my kids playing on a SMALL pile of gravel that was directly in front of our spot. They weren’t allowed to do that. Okay. The next problem was our dogs. When we got there in January I specifically asked the owner where I could walk my dogs off leash. He told me as long as they’re off property. I said okay and went about walking them next to the road. So state owned property. I also walked them about a mile so very little of their off leash was close to his property at all. In the 3 months I did this, I didn’t have ANY problem. The dogs stayed off the RV property, came when called and just generally didn’t bother anyone. I also did this 3-4 times a day. One day I go to walk my dogs and here comes this employee from one drive way down to the farthest drive way. I decided to cut their walk really short to avoid her. She instead pulled “over” in the road, at first it was a problem I didn’t pick up their waste (which the owner said I didn’t as long as it’s off property). I told her this, she got an attitude and changed to they can’t be off leash. She is now screaming at me out the side of her car while she’s inside her car. I told her the owner gave me permission. She screams “THE OWNER???????” I said yes. She screams “WE HAVE RULES AND YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THEM” and speeds off. This was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. She made “getting onto me” a public spectacle. I went to the owner who once again gave me permission to do what I had been. Said he’d speak to her so I left it at that. After that she wouldn’t let me know if I had packages at the office, she’d text my husband. At work. The next problem with her came when she went to one of my husband’s coworkers who also stayed in the RV park and told him and his son how much she didn’t like us and how they shouldn’t let my husband use their stuff because she doesn’t like us. Which once again is rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. The final straw was when she decided to stand next to her camper and scream at my husband about my kids being back on the gravel mound. This employee makes up rules as she goes but only enforces them to certain people. Dogs using the bathroom on the side of a road? Problem. People dumping whole boxes of cat litter in the park? Just fine. I will say that EVERYONE else at the park is soo sweet. The owner, his wife, Jane, the maintenance people are amazing and sweet. They’re willing to help with just about anything you need. Had we not had to deal with the other employee the review would’ve been 5 stars. We were supposed to stay until December of 2025 but left early because of her. And I know we aren’t the only ones. Several coworkers left because of her as well. So if you have kids or dogs, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. She will make your time an absolute nightmare while trying to navigate her.

NOVEMBER 2024 UPDATE: This review was originally written in May. Since then, we returned in November 2024. Turner Inn and RV Park is a modest motel and RV park in a rural area that is incredibly close to the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, and an easy drive from Albuquerque NM – a perfect place to experience history, while attending the balloon festival.
When we first came in May 2024, Christine immediately sorted out a site for us to stay with our 40′ motorhome. Now arriving in November, we were met with the same, embracing accommodations for a motel room, confirmed by both the ever attentive Christine and Jane.
Our room, kept exceptionally clean by Brenda, perfectly met our needs. The weather reports suggested a storm was on the horizon, so we stopped to secure some extra food from the local store, to be kept in the small, but residential-sized refrigerator.
As was the case across that area of the New Mexico, we were swept up for a portion of a day, in “blizzard” conditions. However, we were warm and cozy in our room, with full access to our every need and knew that the office was only a phone call, or a short walk away.
Owners Kevin and Ruth Turner were both as kind as they could be, also willing to do whatever they could to make sure our needs were met.
I will be forever grateful for our experiences at Turner Inn & RV Park.
ORIGINAL REVIEW MAY, 2024: We came here to be with family who were experiencing an unexpected emergency.
The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Christine. She immediately sorted out which site would accommodate our 40′ motorhome with 4 slide-outs and parking for our Jeep Gladiator. It was absolutely perfect!!!
The park is conveniently located for access to the community, clean and quiet. There is a train track nearby, but there are no crossings, so no whistles at night!
Thank you Christine for all that you and the owners did to accommodate our needs.
We’ll be back!
