Absolutely fantastic shelter. They really care about their dogs and strive hard to find the best matches. They are totally honest about the dog (s) personalities, needs, age, weight, etc. They answer all your questions truthfully to the best of their knowledge. I wish I lived closer to them; I’d volunteer in a heartbeat.

The person who works there (Jennifer I think) is dishonest at best. She told us explicitly that the adoption fee covers sterilization, even though it does not. That fee only covers small dogs, not large ones. She further implied that the rabies booster was covered as well, which it was not. We were told that we could “return the dog at any time and for any reason” if it did not work out. Well, the dog we adopted, a lovely Pyrenees, had previously been abused and for that reason we could not keep her as she would be a hazard to our children. So when we tried to do the responsible thing and bring her back (including a donation of nearly a hundred dollars of dog food) we get interrogated about why she isn’t fixed yet – it’s because you lied to us about that, Jennifer… That’s why. And then we are told that actually they wont even take her back (is that lie number three?). Well, a bit of a discussion over the phone and now suddenly they CAN take her back, what do you know about that?
This place is either:
A:) shady as heck
or
B:) completely ignorant of their own policies, contracts, and promises.
Either way, I’d recommend adopting off of someone’s craigslist ad before going to this place.
1 star is to generous.
