Amazing short hike with a great hike alongside a brook to see several waterfalls.

The Brook Walk is an amazing hiking trail in the area. It was once referred to as the “Little Yosemite of the East,” and offers views of over seven waterfalls on a roughly two-mile round-trip hike. The trail is easy to follow, and it’s easy to recognize, except for one section after the second waterfall (if you’re starting from the top of the hill). When you reach a fork, make sure to stay left because going right will take you to Castle in the Clouds.

I visited Brook Walk on 3/4/24, and the conditions were still a little icy. Some waterfalls are difficult to see up close and should be avoided at attempting to see up close due to the steep embankments. (Whittier and The Cascades, specifically). However, the trail still provides a nice view of these falls!

We hiked to see the waterfalls after visiting Castle in the Clouds. The hike was beautiful and it was easy to navigate. It took us about an hour to get to all 7 of the falls and back. The terrain won’t be for everyone.

Hiked Mt. Roberts – rough start from the parking lot figuring out where to go bc some of the signs look like they’re pointing in the same direction but that could just be user error. Very pretty views but the summit isn’t as pretty as some of the views you see before the summit. All in all, the trail is in very good condition, good for dogs off leash, manageable for a slower hiker (me lol) and worth the energy with nice views!
