Bear Creek Lake Park Meadowlark Cove is a pet-friendly destination in Morrison, Colorado, offering scenic views, sandy lake shores, and an array of outdoor activities perfect for dog owners and their furry companions. Known for its crystal-clear water, shady spots, picnic tables, and accessible trails, it’s a top pick for Denver locals in search of dog-friendly hiking or a relaxing day by the water.
This park features wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, making it inclusive for everyone. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on-leash at all times; local rangers frequently patrol and enforce leash rules with fines for violations. Amenities include restrooms, water access (though faucets may sometimes be locked), picnic areas, and plenty of shade. Parking can fill up fast, especially on weekends, so arrive early for the best experience. Whether you’re seeking pet-friendly trails or a place to soak up the beautiful Colorado views with your pup, Meadowlark Cove is a great option close to Red Rocks and Denver.
Great place to paddle and soak.uo some amazing views. One of my favorite places in Denver
Amazing, easy access location with crystal clear water, sand bars and plenty of shady spots to hang out in at the shore.
Soooooooo crowded! It gets so packed they turn people down due to parking/capacity due to this. Beautiful but don’t expect to have the beach area to yourself. Overcrowded.
Great place but no bbqs. Right by water but it’s not ss clean as other paddleboard lake. Pitt bathroom and has water spigot was locked. Rangers patrol lake and parking lot checking for glass or life preservers. Weekends cost NULL a day a car. Dogs have to be on leash or you get a fine $.
Camp here for 5 days. Wasn’t prepared for the gravel pad. There are showers, and it takes quarters. 3.00 was just right. Flushing and vaulted toilets. Water available. Close to red rocks, Denver, etc. Will stay again if need to be in area.
