This dog park in Morganton, North Carolina features two spacious, fully fenced areas where pups can play off-leash and stretch their legs just behind the soccer fields. There are 2 decent sized, fenced in areas. One has some tree shading. Both are right behind the soccer fields which was a little distracting for my dog, but some of the other dogs seemed to enjoy watching the players. Bring your own water. Catawba river is not to far to walk off 😀

Holes in the smaller dog park really need filled in and packed down. It won’t be long until a dog or a human breaks a leg.
PLEASE, if your dog digs, it’s YOUR responsibility to fill in the holes completely when you leave. There were 4 new small but deep holes today. Nobody else was there. Had to be extremely cautious with our blind dog.

Plenty of room for our Kody to run and play! Just wish there were spigots for water. Have to haul your own in.

This location offers two completely fenced-in areas for dogs to stretch their legs. Neither is identified for dogs of a particular size, but the section furthest from the parking lot would better-accommodate larger dogs. Typically, if someone occupies one of the sections, it is my experience that subsequent visitors trying to segregate by the size of their dogs. This is not always the case, however. Bear in mind the closest water fountain is over 100 yards away, so bring water during the hotter months. They have also now provided doggie bag stations, and are regularly stocked, but play it safe and bring your own when you come.
