River Oaks Dog Park

River Oaks Dog Park offers a scenic and peaceful environment within city limits, featuring a long tear-drop driveway that provides ample exercise space for dogs. Visitors can enjoy nature views including sightings of deer and coyotes near the riverbank. The park has picnic tables and is known for being a favorite local spot for peaceful walks along the river. However, visitors should be aware that the park can have burrs that stick to dogs’ fur. Overall, it is a great place to experience nature while giving dogs a place to roam safely.

This park is infested with burrs that get into dogs’ hair and are very difficult to clear. Clean the park before you advertise it as a friendly dog park.
This is so peaceful and beautiful in city limits. It’s so nice to have so close to home. Great walking distance escape.
This is my favorite local park to walk the river. There were coyotes on the other bank on the North side today singing the song of their people.
Very nice new dog park. Used to be an open green park and was able to be used for other uses as well. The dog park takes up the majority of the large park area.
Cool dam on the river and with the water pretty low this year the rocks are more visible. It looks like there may be an access on the ND side but not 100% sure.
River Oaks Dog Park has a tear drop drive way which made it a little complicated for parking but not impossible. The driveway is long which gave the girls plenty of room to exercise. We’ve never seen squirrels that big before. And, as we were walking along the bank I just happened to see a deer. It’s nice to be able to take in all this nature especially at a dog park.
