FAQ for Truskett Park in Montverde Florida:
Stopped by hoping to walk out on the pier to see a late afternoon rocket launch from across the lake. Gate was locked shut. Not sure when this part was last open or if it’s only for some locals who have a key.
Very small play area. 4 swings. The boardwalk to the water is paved making it stroller/handicap accessible but it is down hill the entire way. Short walk to the water. My guess why the tall fence around the park would be all the gators we saw. We saw at Lear 4 gators. There is only 3 parking spots but they were full. Pretty and quiet area.
There’s not much, but it’s awesome! Gorgeous little covered dock, scenic view over the lake. The nightlife/sounds are very soothing. It’s very quiet and chill! They have a long bench that could seat like 10+ , but that’s all there is other than ground space (perfect for a little picnic or something). I passed a few very polite and friendly teenagers on bikes on my way down, but other than that, it was just me here. I was here for sunset but didn’t really see it directly. Still very beautiful and def would recommend! There’s also a little playground and walking trail. Nothing crazy, few swings and things 😎👌🏼 Some trash in the marsh, sadly. Not the parks fault- just unaware people 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Teenie-tiny park in Montverde if you are a local check it out. The little bridge to the water behind this park is so beautiful and extremely relaxing.
I’ve visited here several times while in the Montverde area. I never have any complaints! It’s always almost completely empty which allows for a very peaceful visit here. There are a few parking spots but I can imagine on one of the rare busy days, they get filled fast, so that would be one of the only downsides. There’s a short little walk down to the lake with a nice, big boat dock. It’s a pretty area and allows for some great photos. There is great wildlife as well! Not worth driving from far away to visit, but if you’re already in Montverde, might as well take 5 minutes to just see this small city park! 😄
