Gateway Park Dog Park in Montesano, Washington

Gateway Park offers a basic, spacious, grassy field for dogs to get some exercise off-leash in Montesano, WA. Located near downtown at 420-556 S Main St, this dog park is conveniently situated for locals and travelers looking for a place for their pups to stretch their legs. Its proximity to the highway makes it a quick stop for pet owners passing through Grays Harbor County, though locating the entrance can be a bit challenging due to minimal signage.

The park is fenced, allowing dogs to run off-leash, but be aware that maintenance has been noted as lacking—there have been reports of standing water, mud, and dog waste during some visits. Nice grounds. Looked like recent rock on low spots. A sign would be nice. Needs a couple benches and water bowls. 3 large piles of dog poop.

Been to hundreds of dog parks across the country this one is the worst. Just a small un kept lot with a fence, ten feet from the highway. no benches no water horrible parking and extremely hard to find. Don’t waste your time.

It’s under construction. Kewl but it looks like minimal effort to let your dog run. The orange “fencing” has more wholes for any dog to get out of then a siv

We stopped to give our dog a break from the car. There was standing water and mud all through the middle. There is also poop everywhere inside and outside the fence. The gate is also only held together with a cord. My dog could slip through easily. The grass is nicely maintained but we’ll try another place next time.
